Our WETT inspections follow the standard Level 1 format. This is a basic, non-invasive visual assessment of the readily accessible parts of your wood-burning appliance and chimney system. It includes checking for proper installation, clearances to combustibles, signs of damage or deterioration, and compliance with applicable codes.
More detailed Level 2 or 3 inspections are typically only required if requested by your insurance provider, or if the inspector identifies concerns that warrant a closer look

From experience we know that issues like cracked and broken brick, faulty door gaskets, missing fire alarm/CO2 detectors are common to come across. So we carry them with us! Various products help us service on the fly and get things to code for the WETT

It’s a good idea to have your chimney cleaned before a WETT inspection, but it’s not mandatory. A cleaning also gets your system ready for the burning season. If you're not sure, we’re happy to discuss and help arrange it as part of the process.
You can make your selection during step 2 of the booking process if you would like to get it swept before the WETT inspection
Whether its a code requirement or for functionality, we bring with us items to help you enjoy your fire
No need to decide anything ahead of time, we’ll walk through everything together during the inspection and address things on the spot if needed.
